Default Towed for Back-In Parking, No Signs Present, No Warning Given

    State of: Florida
My car was towed from a condo complex for back-in parking, they have the Tow Away sign for unathorized vehicles posted at the entrance, but no signs stating that back-in parking is prohibited. I was parked in a guest space, and was parked for less than 10 minutes, no warning sticker was placed. I spoke with an Association Rep, and she didn't seem too cooperative. What are my rights?

You were in the condo complex for what purpose? You own a condo there? You rent one? You were visiting somebody in the community?

If you own a unit or live in the community, check the association rules in relation to back-in parking - that may be what they're enforcing against you.

My girlfriend was ticketed today for pulling through a parking space in a "Head-in only" area. I think that the language is vague and needs clarification. The violation was on public property(in front of courthouse lol). I'm not familiar with what part of the vehicle is the "head". If they are reffering to the "front", then why doesn't it say "front-in only". Call me SIMPLE, but I only know of the front, back, and sides. Look at an accident report from any law enforcement, I'm sure. Furthermore, if they don't want back-in parking, just say "no back in parking". Call me simple again, but it sounds like persons are "heading in to the courthouse". A weak argument I know, but there is the lack of language. Is it a state issue sign, and I missed it in all my testing for my licence in 15 years in driving. I'd like to see the ticket quashed, and the signs clarified. Does she have a chance with this argument.

    Start your own thread.

Identify, at the very least, what state it occurred in.
