Re-Entry or Long-Term Stay on B2

Hey guys,

I'm currently on my second stay in the US visiting my girlfriend, I've been to the US previous from June-Aug, and my current trip is from Nov-Feb. I've recently graduated from a tertiary education and I plan to take a gap year between 2012 March - 2013 March before going back for University.

My girlfriend is currently studying a broad in the US but shes not an American Citizen so theres no fear of us getting married. I do not plan to work in the US, I may do some volunteer work and such. I do plan to take a break and go back to Australia during September. I do have an excellent immigration record, I've always left on time and never overstayed. I just wanted to ask what would increase my chances for being approved for 6 months at a time?

There's no easy answer here. You can try being prepared with proof of your return ticket, connections to your nation of origin, any evidence you can contemplate of your lack of interest in staying in the U.S. beyond the end of the six months, a travel itinerary and proof of short-term living arrangements during the six months, or whatever else you believe may help, but we simply cannot promise you that any particular set of documents or claims will secure you authorization for a full six month stay.
