I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.
Merry Christmas to all (and thanks for the animation)!
I'm referencing the star that rose in the east one night about 2000 years ago, give or take. Even if you are not a Christian, you must surely have heard rumors of that star? And the reason we have Christmas at all?
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
Thank you. It is how I see it.
And on Christmas Eve, I was reminded of so much to be thankful for ...
A couple lost their four month old infant due to an as yet unknown problem and my officer had to try CPR on the infant to no avail -Christmas will hold no great joy for them and their other two children in the years to come ... Arrested two people for being drunk in public - one who tried to kill herself ... Arrested a mom and dad for distribution of counterfeit money and for sales of methamphetamine (packaging materials, drugs, and nefarious individuals in and out all the time) and child endangerment as a result of the drug activity. Fortunately, for that last one, the grandparents are decent people and friends of mine so the kids of those twits did not have to suffer through Christmas in a group home.
Then, I recall a still night, a stable, a manger, and a small child who was born to bear the sins of the world ... and He gives me the strength to persevere and to continue in His service as best I can so that His light might show through me.
