My question involves real estate located in the State of: Michiagn.
I placed a bid on a shortsale home the begining of 2011. I waited nearly 4 months and the bank, Chase, approved. All closing were completed in June and we have been living in the home since then. We paid cash on the home and did not have a bank involved on our end.
I stepped outside this afternoon and found an eviction notice on my door. It is addressed to the previous owner with a courtdate 2 weeks out. It says they are going to reposess the home due to default on the mortgage? This is the same bank that had to approve the short sale.
Suggestions on what to do? We spent the past 6 months renovating the house and dumped a ton of money into it. I assume it's a paperwork error but not certain. thanks
