Getting a License Reinstated for Work

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: fl

i live in ct now and i need a drivers licence to commute to and from work.
my accident was in 93 (i had no licence and i was not driving) i got charged for it because driver ran away. judgement was in 97 and i got my licence in 99 and they suspended it 2 months later for the accident. i have a judgement against me considered a "fr judgement". it is a good chunk of money from what ive researched about it. what can i do?

The best thing you can hope for is to apply to a court to make payments on the judgement. The judge may then allow you to go to the DMV and reinstate (provided you keep making the payments). The DMV will have additional hoops for you to go through to get reinstated.

Section 14-37 of Title 14 of Chapter 246 of the Connecticut Code allows for the issuance of Special operator's permits for purposes of employment or education. Hardship licensing in Connecticut is discretionary and it is unclear whether they would issue such a permit to override an out of state suspension for failure to meet a financial responsibility. Section (g) allows for persons unlicensed in CT to be issued Special operator's permits, so long as they qualify for licensing in CT. Again, however, hardship licensing is discretionary and just because the law allows you to apply doesn't guarantee that the CT DMV will grant your request.

Getting a release in exchange for a payment agreement and clearing your record with the FL DMV would allow you to get a full license in CT.
