    WalMart caught 2 people shoplifting. That does not make them assholes.

    In fact, you lucked out more than you realize. Just the simple act of being with your friends could have resulted in you facing CRIMINAL CHARGES just because you were with 2 shoplifters. And 3 people together, they could have made it look like you were the diversion, and made it a planned crime at the felony or larceny level.

    I would still stay out of WalMart for a while.

    If you want to see if they mean business, scroll down to the COUPON FRAUD thread.

    You will see this guy got a Civil Demand for $300 and forgot about it. Next letter arrived...for $650.

    If they have to take you to court, you are going to be looking at the cost of WalMarts fees to sue you...lawyers are atleast $250/hour. Time to review case, time to send you first civil demand, time to send you second one (for a higher amount), cost to take you to court, cost of lawyers to appear in court....that $200 will turn into thousands.
