Right to Retrieve Forgotten Items at Ex's

My question involves personal property located in the State of: Alberta, Canada
Upon moving out of my ex's house after the break-up I forgot some personal items such as a high school diploma, cooking supplies (expensive pots) that were from my father, ipod, ect. Do I have the right to enter the house and retrieve these items? He said he would drop them off but that never happened and months later he now will not speak to me. What do I do?

I expect that, should you consult a Canadian legal resource, you will find that you can keep asking him nicely, or you can sue him, but you cannot enter his house at this time without his consent.
