Default As a Beneficiary Am I Due a Copy of the Estate's Findings and Distribution

My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: California.

I am one of four beneficiaries of my fathers estate. My sister was appointed as the executor of the estate. Am I due a copy of the the notes she made as well as her findings, figures, and final distribution? When asked, she claims that she is not required to furnish us with a copy.

Thank you very much for any assistance.

If you want access to anything that has been filed with the court, and are concerned that some items weren't served upon you, go to the court and look at the court file.

If you want access to your sister's personal notes, you need to ask her to let you see them.

When the time comes, her proposed distribution should be filed with the court, with notice to the interested parties such that if they disagree they can file their objections and request a hearing.
