How Do I Change My Full Name with Only 1 Parents Consent

My question involves name change laws in the State of: Texas

I'm 16 and I want to change my full name, my mother is willing to consent. A couple years ago she added my step dads last name to mine so I now have a hyphenated last name. I want to change my first and middle name, and remove my old last name so I only have my step dads last name. My biological father hasn't seen me since I was born, he has never supported me in anyway. He got out of jail a while back and I have no idea how to get a hold of him.
How do i go about doing this?
How long does the process take and should I get a lawyer?

You can't.

Your Mom can, though. She basically needs to go through the same process as she did to add your step-dad's name.

Let's hope she did it legally.
