How Long Until a Payment is Made

I am in the State of IL . i have several cases going 3, one was settled . when was settled lawyer said call me 2 weeks , long story short after 2 months waiting for payment, i called there office said they have the final letter lawyer didn't like the wording and , other lawyer needs to rewrite both sign then i come sign,, every 2 weeks i call back ask whats going on with this check/paper work i get something different when i call ,, was wondering how long does this usually take to close / pay someone when case has been settled is 4 month normal

there is no time limit.
the issues and negotiations are different in every case.
the only way to force the issue is to get a court date.

Yea we already did the court thing standing in the waiting area they came to agreement went in seen the people and settled it just wondering how long takes for that check to get to me,, not that i am in it for money sounds bad i am sure ,, but have several cases going out work and i need that payment to sustain me for next 2 yrs if need be,,, AM BROKE lol

you didn't actually have a hearing.
they were able to duck it by getting you to believe there would be a settlement and a check.
they'll may make it a priority once you have another court date.
hopefully this time you won't buy their words without some upfront cash.

in GA it doesn't take that long
My lawyer spoke with the Insurance Company about a month ago and they wanted to settle
my lawyer submitted the Settlments papers to the state workers comp board about 2 weeks ago and once Sedgwick CMS sent back a settlment agreement my lawyer signed my signature for me and his and took it to the state workers comp board
My lawyer recieved my settlement check this past tuesday on the 15th and Sedgwick CMS mailed it last tuesday
Now I am waiting my lawyer mailed my check on the 15th but to the wrong address my old address is in Jesup GA which is about 35 miles from my new address in Baxley GA
I was told it may be another week because once the mail gets to the jesup ga post office I have a mail forward thing in it will go back up to upstate GA then back down here again
I am getting so anxious I want my money so bad

All in all to get the insurance company to settle and all the paperwork done and now im waiting on my check before the actual check arriving in the mail in GA its taken about 2 weeks
