Default Transfering a Driver's License After Getting a DUI

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Tennessee and Michigan

    Good afternoon,

I recieved a DUI in Iowa about 1 week ago. I have a TN driver's license currently. I recently moved to Michigan and have to register my car here and get a Michigan license. I don't believe the Michigan DL application mentions anything about pending charges. My court date (where my lawyer will enter a not guilty plea) is in December. It is not likely I will actually get an acquittal or conviction until sometime next year. Should I hold off on getting my MI license even though it is the law you must get one when you move? I don't want to end up paying fees in Iowa, Tennessee, AND Michigan if I am convicted.

Any help or even suggestions of where to go to get good advice would be appreciated.

You're asking us if you should break Michigan law, in the hope that doing so will allow you to avoid a Michigan driver's license sanction? I'm skeptical that somebody is going to tell you that failing to transfer your license as required by law is a good plan.

Your license is either presently suspended or it is not. If not, and that appears to be the case, you don't have to answer in the affirmative a question about whether your license is suspended. If you have transferred your license to Michigan before the Iowa case is resolved, such that you no longer have a valid Tennessee license, I'm not clear on why you believe Tennessee would take action against your no-longer-valid license in that state.
