Your claim and benefit is based upon the State where you worked and earnings during the look-back period. The benefit amount doesn't change if you relocate to another state. If you're already collecting UI from EDD-CA based on California employment, just report your new AZ address as required on line 8 of your weekly Continued Claim form (DE4581). You will continue to file the Continued Claim form with California and, of course, you have to continue looking for work and meet all the other eligibility requirements. If you are not already doing so, you can now usually file your Continued Claim report on-line. Exception: if you worked during a week or have a change of address, you must file a written claim for that week/period.
