Default Checks Stopped Without Warning Or Release
I am currently on Workmens Compensation. My check is four days late. Is there any law that states that notice should be given before the last compensation check is sent out, or can they cancell at any time without notice?

Default Late Workers' Compensation Check
Workers' compensation laws vary significantly by state.

If you are concerned about the significance of a late check, perhaps you should call the workers' compensation insurance carrier to see if a check was issued.

Thank you for the response! I have called my worker for the last three days, my doctor has too. We have yet to hear back from him which is typical. Instead of receiving my check I received a "Notice of Denial of Permanent Disability Benefits" My nurse case worker and doctor are shocked that I received this since neither have filled out any paper work that would reflect this decision. I've been on Workmens Comp. for a year now so it was quit a surprise. I have a QME June 21 with a psychiatrist so no decisions should be made until then, atleast that's the impression I'm under. I know there's different laws for different states, me being in AZ, but my question is, "Normally, would the discontinuance for Workmens Comp monies require a "notice of action"?

Again, thank you for your time. I've tried finding a lawyer who will even listen to be and possibly represent me but have been unsucessful.

Default Dropped benefits

If WC dropped benfits before your Dr. released you , youa re intitled to a penalty benefit of $2,000 ...... Consult a WC attorney in your area .......

I live in Louisiana .... I got hurt 8/16/2001 .... I just hired an attorney in Feb. 2005 ...... He filed to receive all my records thru COMP. dr.'s hospitals , medical , ETC , and has YET to receive anything .... they have 60 days to forward my attorney all requested material , or ITS a penalty benefit of $2,000 for me .... YOU NEED AN ATTORNEY ......
