My question involves a marriage in the state of: California
Me and my husband are divorcing. We get along pretty good under the cirmumstances so i've been doing all the paperwork for the divorce myself since neither of us really have the money to hire a lawyer (the divorce is uncontested). Though long, the process has been going pretty smoothly so far. We've gone to mediation for child custody and we have an agreement on that and we don't really have any property to divide, we've always kept everything separate anyways. Now here is my issue, I don't know what the deal is but my husband is not giving me his expense declarations. I already gave him mine and I instructed him on how to fill his papers out (supposedly he's done them already) but he's not giving them to me! He already filed the form with the court saying that he served me with them and he never did. I need to make our settlement agreement so we can finish the divorce and I don't know what to put in the agreement because I don't have his paperwork. I know more-less what I need to put in the agreement but I don't want to leave anything out. I want to finish this already and not have it dragged on. I've asked him at least 5 separate times to give me the papers (the last few times I demanded that he give them to me that day) and it's either I'll give them to you this weekend or yes I'll give them to you or just no response at all. What do I do now? Obviously he lied to the court by filing his form, can I let the court know or how does that work? It's getting frustrating because our 6 months is up next week and this could have been taken care of already.
