Getting the FINRA Series 7 License With an Expunged Criminal Record

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Michigan

I have been recently hired by a stock brokerage firm and I will need to get the series 7 license through FINRA and I have expunged record in the state of Michigan.

I have not disclosed the expunged record and now am wondering if the FINRA and/or the company will be able to see this record or not?

The question for the FINRA application is broad: Have you ever been convicted..... Have you ever been charged with any felony. You should expect to answer truthfully, and you should not be surprised if they catch you if you give false answers.

Depending upon what you mean by "expungement" and the underlying charge, though, we may be talking about a misdemeanor and you may not have been convicted; the devil is in the details.
