My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Kentucky
I was going to my dads who lives 3 hours away as I was going I went through a road work and them went to pass a car I drive a mustang and the gearing is weird when I went by the car at 50 mph it dropped down a gear and I kept going well when I got to the top of the hill there I looked down when I did I realized I was going 81 somehow and i immediately started slowing down but a cop from the other side of the road jumped the median and pulled me over I don't know how it went from 50 to 81 when I was bairly touching the gas but he gave a court date. What can happen to me as punishments where I am 17 and have my full license?

If you're charged with KRS 189.290, per KRS 189.990(1), "Any person who violates any of the provisions of... 189.290... shall be fined not less than twenty dollars ($20) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100) for each offense...." You can also be assessed court costs and fees. If you have a graduated license, you may face special driver's license sanctions under your state's system. As you mention having a "full license", I expect that's not an issue so I didn't look into it.

It was the 189.290 for the speeding and them reckless driving was for the speed and it was a 189.390 I believe thank you for your help
