Well,I have got 6 laptops,4 Windows 7 and 2 Windows XP. And I have never had a computer virus. Andrea Borman.
    Um, okay.

Was this the attitude that got you banned? Is this an example of your humorous posts?

Yes,that is one of the things I tell them. That I don't use ant anti virus software on my computers. Because it may tell me I have a virus when I don't have one. And may block access to ordinary programs and web sites. And anyway we have got Windows Defender and Malicious Software Removal Tool-MRT for shot. These are bundled with Windows. And they have never found any viruses on my computers.

But they don't like me saying that on a Windows software forum. They think I might mislead some one who does not have much computer experience into taking my advice. Not to install anti virus software that is. As if I have any influence over someone else's computer? No I do not.

But what got me banned from Seven Forums was a member posted a link to my You Tube Video Should You post on a forum. And said he liked it. And I replied back on the thread. And that's when they banned me. And I found out 20 minutes later when I logged into my account, and it said I was banned for life.

But I cannot help wondering if it was all a set up to get me rid of me. You know, get me banned. A member breaks the rules by posting off topic by posting my video link and saying he likes it. When the topic was about Windows Movie Maker, not about Andrea's video. And I reply back to him on the same thread. So I too have gone off of the topic.

Yet he is still on the forum and I am not. I have been banned. So they have only banned me, but not him.

But as I said before it could be because I am famous on the Internet. Google finds a lot of posts and videos by me. And some times, fame is your enemy. And it could be also because I have made a lot of videos saying bad things about computer software forums. I tell in my videos, how I get banned or threatened with bans for nothing. And I point out some of their stupid rules. And I don't think a moderator of a forum would like that. Andrea Borman.

famous or infamous? Very similar in how often one is reported on. Very different as to why.

as to viruses; if you have enjoyed a virus free life, well, great. I happen to know some people that have written viruses so I do know they exist. They have not written any of the (in)famous viruses but none-the-less, viruses that would screw your computer up royally.

But what got me banned from Seven Forums was a member posted a link to my You Tube Video Should You post on a forum. And said he liked it. And I replied back on the thread. and all completely legal so, it is what it is.

It's really funny since if you were so IT savvy, there would never be such thing as a ban. A well educated IT person can work around any ban anybody wants to put upon you.

I tell in my videos, how I get banned or threatened with bans for nothing. And I point out some of their stupid rules.
I think I just realized why you get banned. While you may think their rules are stupid, they are their rules. Since it is their forum, I suspect they simply do not want to deal with a person that doesn't like their "stupid" rules and bounces you.

You don't like it? Oh well. Not a thing you can legally do about it. It is their right to ban you from their forums. not Andrea Borman.

Yes,you are right forums can do what they want. They can ban your for any reason or for doing nothing. And there is nothing you can do about it. As it is their website and they can do what they like. And yes,are right in that you have no legal right to stay on a forum. As I said seven Forms and other forums are not my own websites. And so on a forum you are merely a guest in their house, so to speak. So you play by their rules.

And by the way although I am banned from Seven Forums and they have deleted my profile and all of my posts. They have not banned my IP address. So I can view the website and look at other peoples posts. But when I log in I get that unwelcome message that I have been banned as a person not welcome.

Seven Forums message when I log in-

You have been banned for the following reason:
    Persona non grata.
Date the ban will be lifted:Never.
But I don't want to create another account to get back in. As that will just make them more angry with me and they might ban my IP address if I do that. Also I am not very computer experienced to by pass the tech things on bans. And it is quite likely that I won't be able to create a new account anyway on that forum. As Seven Forums probably know have got my IP address. So I would be blocked from creating a new account. Andrea Borman.

as I said: for those knowing how to deal with it, banning an IP address means nothing.

There is a possibility of working around the ban being an actual criminal act though. I would not do it unless willing to deal with the consequences should one be caught.

    So, the question is:

what are you looking for here? You are fully aware they can ban anybody they wish to ban so there is really no question to be answered.

The only think I see is you believe you have been unjustly banned form those forums. You must realize justice, in this case, is a matter of perspective. Apparently they feel totally justified in their actions.

I don't really know but I suspect it is the same reason she keeps getting banned on various forums. Maybe it's an OCD thing.

Well,I certainly would never try to get back on a site I have been banned from by the means you said. There is a form on the site,Seven Forums that you can email a moderator with. And You can do this without logging in. And I have already emailed them asking why I was banned. But they have not responded to my email. I could email them again, but they may not respond this time either. Or if they do respond,it does not mean they will give me the true reason why I was banned.

But the reason why Seven Forums banned me. Well,I knew they were very strict about talking off topic. And I did go off topic by replying to the members compliment about my You Tube Video. On a thread that was not about that. When I should have sent him a private reply or private email. Which you can also do on a forum, instead of posting it on the thread. Then maybe they would not have banned me.

But the member who as also off topic by praising my video is not banned. But I am banned. So what I did, that is post off topic, was probably just an excuse to get rid of me. And they wanted to ban me anyway. And if I had not have made that mistake of posting off topic. They would have got me some other way.

But it is impossible to stick to one subject in a computer software forum. Because to talk about one subject, you have to talk about another. for example,if the thread was about Google Chrome browser, you have to mention Firefox to give an example. But if you do that on a computer software forum they say talked off topic and broke their rules. So you see how difficult it is. Andrea Borman.

Do you understand that the forum has no obligation to even acknowledge your existence, let alone answer your emails?

Really - let it go. You're really not doing yourself any favours.

they did not need a reason to ban you. If they wanted you banned, you would have been banned simply because they wanted to ban you. They have no obligation to ban somebody you believe should be banned. Again, totally within their discretion and there is nothing you can do about it.

I would suggest that if you do not receive a response to your email or whatever method of contact you used, you should simply move on. Dwelling on this show signs of a mental disorder. If you find a need to dwell on this anymore, I suggest you contact a medical professional that can help you.
