My question involves education law in the State of: Indiana
Alright my story is this: This kid I knew briefly (not very well) stole a pill bottle of 120 ADHD pills from my teacher, when he was found out and his mom asked who he sold the drugs to, he gave my name. When his mom heard this she called the assist-principal and told him that I had been buying drugs from her son. I was called down to his office and he directly accused me of buying the drugs off of him, he was almost interrogating me, he kept telling me to confess, he practically said he knew I have drugs and he can call my mom that I was buying drugs. After this talk he told me he was going to launch an investigation and I was the only suspect. I have never bought drugs and barely even know this kid but he has gotten in me in a load of trouble. My mom already suspects I do drugs (which I don't) and I don't feel as if I can tell her and my assist-principal may call any second and say I am in this investigation. I also believe my teacher knows of this investigation and does not trust me as he did before. This kid has been to Juvenile Detention Center multiple times, has been rehabilitated, and just got out and stole that pill bottle. I have a clean slate, no incidents on my record and I am in advanced classes, yet my assistant-principal completely believed this kid. I feel so terrible, I barely ate today and I believe I failed my first test being so worried about this. I need help and I know they won't find anything against me but there will always be suspicion around me because he launched this investigation on an UNTRUSTWORTHY source. His comments were just terrible, he was acting like he already found the drugs and I need help with how to compensate emotional pain.
