Custody After Death of Parent

my ex husband just died who had full custody of my son,who decided he wanted to stay with his father i on the other hand had visitation every weekend. my son is now staying with me can anyone else take custody from me he is 16 and wants to stay with me please help me if you can worried mother

Provided you have full parental rights and there is no court-ordered guardianship in effect, custody would ordinarily pass to you. I am not sure who might try to intervene in relation to custody, or what grounds they might present for intervention, so it's hard to speculate further.
