Default Driver's License Problems In Massachusetts

I Have Lived In Pennsylvania Since 2002. I Received A Traffic Citation In Central Massachusetts In July 2005, Requested A Court Hearing But Never Received A Response From The State. On August 7, 2006 In Massachusetts I Was Pulled Over For Failure To Stay Right (1am, Bogus, Lets- Troll- For-Any- Drunks -Rationale) And Then Also Issued A Criminal Citation For Failing To Appear To My Hearing Last Year. The Police Officer... RMV...Whomever... Had Submitted Their Response To My Request For A Hearing Under And Expired, (as Of 2004) Surrendered Massachusett Drivers License And Sent It To The Last Massachusetts Address On Their Records!! I Attended Undergraduate School In Boston, MA From 1999-2001 And Had A Massachusetts Driver's License. That License Was Surrendered When I Got A Job Back In Pennsylvania In 2002. I Have Been Told By Massachusetts RMV That I Should Have Told Them Of My Address Change. I Found It Was No Use Asking Registry Of Motor Vehicle Or District Court Clerk Either "Why" That Is My Responsibility To Contact Them When I Surrender My Driver's License To Another State Or "Why" When I Am Driving A Truck With PA Plates, Registry And Pa License Would They Put The Citation Under An Expired,Surrendered License And Send Their Response To A 4 Year Old Address. I Mean I Think Its Clever. It Certainly Guarantees I Lose. However, I Was Able By Checking The State Statues To Get A Late Hearing Date...Probably In A Few Months. Yet, I Have Been Told By Clerk Of Courts Today That Since 'I" Defaulted On The Hearing That All The Officer's Notes...All The Usual Information That I Could Have Gotten Through Discovery To Challange The Citation No Longer Exist. I'm Not Sure Whether I Just Getting The Usual Discovery Brush Off Or Whether This Is Actually May Be True. Some Records Exist For The Clerk Of Court Did Mention During Our Conversation That She Saw A Notation That They Did Receive Back Their Letter About Hearing Date From The Post Office As "Undeliverable". So, What About Other Records? Anybody Have Any Suggestions. Any Feed Back Will Be Most Appreciated. J
