I am currently waiting to see the ALJ, my hearing is set for September 15, 2006. I applied for benefits twice on my own and was denied both times.
My injuries are sever disc herniation at the S1 and a minor hernation at the L4-5. I also have major spinal stenosis at the lumbar region, panic attacks, major depression, carpel tunnel left hand, cubital tunnel in the left arm.
I had surgery on my back and I am left with moderate to severe pain in my back, legs and feet, numbness that comes and goes, tingling and basically all the bells and whistles that go along with this kind of back injury. I am in a constant state of movement as one position is not possible.
SSA sent me to two doctors: Orthopedic and a Neuropsycholoist.
The Orthopedic spent all of 20 minutes with me and the Neurop. spent 4 hours with me. The mental exam is completely in my favor as I was given a diagnosis is: Panic Disorder without Agoraphobia: Major Depression and a Mathematics Disorder. Not quite sure about the Orthop. report: Although I can ambulate, dress myself, cook dinner, and drive this is done with much pain and the will to just keep going. His diagnosis report was: Chronic low back pain, Chronic cervical spine pain, left cubital tunnel and carpal tunnel left arm/hand, and history of aniexty with panic attacks. He also sent me for an X-ray that shows lumbar spine-Disc space narrowing at L5-S1.
What are my chances now with their doctors reports going it seems mostly in my favor? Thank you in advance for your reply....I live in Houston, Texas...
