Obtaining Ownership of Land

My question involves real estate located in the State of: texas
my dad has gone missing, and wanted by the law, but i been paying the bills on his lands, i was wondering is there anyway to legally gain ownership of his lands since im paying the bills and the property tax?

You would have to satisfy the terms of your state's statutes that define when death can be inferred from a prolonged absence, then probate your father's estate.
