Question How to Service of Process Unknown Parties Using John and Jane Does 1-10 As Defendants

My question involves court procedures for the state of: TX

I filed an action to quiet title and included John and Jane Does 1-10 as defendants.

They represent the unknown parties both in identity and location relative this case.

What is necessary to perfect the service of process?

Default Re: How to Service of Process Unknown Parties Using John and Jane Does 1-10 As Defend

What do you hope to accomplish? The filing of a lawsuit against "John Doe" defendants does not toll the statute of limitations, Riston v. Doe, 161 SW 3d 525 (2008).

Is this a case in which you know who some (or at least one) of the defendants are, so you can serve that person, obtain discovery, and identify the others?

If you don't know who the defendants are, you can't serve them. If you know who they are, they can be identified by name.
