Question Assault by Contact
A detective just called me about a case I filed a week ago. A coworker had lured me back to the back office and exposed himself to me and put my hands places and fondled me. She said this guy would be charged with "assault by contact". What does this mean exactly? And is it worth persuing this case? I want this guy to get what's coming to him but it sounds like just a slap on the wrist if I do press charges, which I am debating on doing.

Default Re: Assault by Contact
You did not disclose your state, and laws vary by state. Perhaps the officer can tell you the law she referred to, or perhaps you can find the statute in your state's criminal code.
