    Default Personal Auto Payment Default

My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: California
4 months ago before movin to Arizona I sold m car to an individual for 3200$ cash and 1000$ in payments of as low as 100$ per month till the total of 4200$ was reached. He payed mender the first month. That was the only payment he made to me and is now ignoring my calls and emails. I am trying to figure out what is within my legal right to do. Is small claims court m only option? The bills of same clearly states 1000$ in monthly payments as low ass 100$ a month. Upon him signing the contract I sinned over the title ( wasn't a smart move so I'm told ) did he just snake mentor that last 1000$? It is not within my rights to repo my car is it?
Thank you in advance for any and all help with this issue, it has been stressing me out for the past 2 months

If you titled the car over to him with no reservation of a lien, then it's his car. You can attempt to enforce your car loan through small claims court in California.
