Name Wrongly Publicized as Delinquent on Taxes

My question involves defamation in the state of: Ohio.at a county in Morgan county,Ohio at the county fair the police had a booth set up with a poster stating if your name is on this poster there is a warrant out for you.my name along with my wifes name was on this poster stating we owe for unpaid taxes.the next thing i done was called the mayors office and ask them did I owe the county some money for anything,they told me no you and your wife do not owe Morgan county anything.after they said we did not owe anything I ask them why was are name on a poster at the fair grounds(for everyone to read I even had calls people telling me they had a warrant out for us)any way they told me are name should not be on the poster.then they transferred me to the pros attorney and they said there was no warrant for are arrest and are names should not be posted at the fair...My question is can I sue Morgan County ore the Police station for defamation/slander and libel...I even have pictures of the poster with are names on it.......would really like to know what i can do about this, this is embarrassing ,disrespectful and should of not been posted because it was not true....my sons friends also read the poster and pointed at it and said look jared's mom and dad are going to jail.

I am sure they could argue it was someone else. Do any other people live in the county with your first name and last name or you wifes?
