Default Title Owner Doesn't Want Other Owner's Boyfriend to Move In

My question involves estate planning in the state of: KY

I purchased some property 8 years ago and paid 17 grand for it, my grandmother also paid 5 grand towards the purchase price as a gift to me. The closing laywer suggested putting the property in my grandmother name because I was still legally married at the time but seperated. Well after 8 years of me living here, paying taxes (which are in my grandmothers name), and doing the upkeep on the property. I hit a rough spot finacially and had a friend move in with me, my new hubby, and my daughter to help pay bills. Keep in mind I went 8 years up until 2 days ago thinking this place was in both my name and my grannys. Well to make a long story short, she does not approve of me having a roomate, and threatened to call the cops to come have him removed from this property. Can she legally come in my house without warning or have the cops make him move?

    Default Re: Property Issues

You're in a mess. She owns the property and that's something you'll have to work out separately. This is what happens when you try to circumvent the law. Your lawyer gave you foolish advice.

She can threaten what she likes, but the cops are unlikely to do anything and you likely have the normal tenants rights of use of the property.
