    Default Court Ordered Drug Testing

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: FL

I was ordered to take a hair drug test on the recommendation of a guardian ad Litem, I'm wondering who gets the results, the court or guardian ad Litem?

I also have a legal prescription since I had surgery 2 months ago, is there a way I can list the prescriptions I'm on? From what I understand one of my antibiotics can produce a false positive for pcp.

I'm sure it's going to comeback positive for prescription pain meds, I had a 4 hour surgery to remove a tumor, I have Not been on pain medication for over a month, they kept saying they want to test my levels

The gal has been very unprofessional, is there a way to keep him from distributing the results to a lawyer on a case that she is not involved with. I have 2 custody cases going on and he constantly talks with and gives papers to the uninvolved lawyer.

If you haven't been on pain meds for over a month, you are not going to have a positive test for recent use. The hair follicle test along with a blood or urine test should show the use is not recent. I do not know of any antibiotic that will give a false positive for PCP. I have read of certain antibiotics causing a false positive for cocaine, heroin, or morphine though. Most, if not all, false positives are ruled out as positives in subsequent more accurate testing. If your results come back dirty, ask if the further testing was performed that would give a definitive ruling.

the court is going to end up with the results of the test. Whether the court chooses to disclose the results to the GAL or not is up to the court.
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.

Handy little reference about which medications can cause false positives and for what: read more here

The GAL should NOT be discussing anything about your case with anyone not involved with your case.

Thats why shes not so professional, she constantly involves the other parent in my other custody case, and while I really dont have anything to hide, I dont want every shred of information about me ending up in their hands.

okay, so the results go to the court right? can I get a copy of them also? ( got order on friday afternoon, so I can call the place until tuesday)

My doc said it could show a false positive for PCP, not sure if he meant something else, the only drug use I have is the prescription pain meds that is it. So if I get a positive for something else I can request further testing?

Does anyone know how a hair test is read, would it read like no drug use in the last 30 days, but positive 60 days ago?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I have never done anything wrong, my ex;s got together after my surgery saying I was on drugs. FAmily stayed with me the entire time I was on meds.
