Default Florida statute of limitations about to expire
FLORIDA

I had a fire in my condo and now someone is attempting to serve me. So far they have not been able to serve me and the staute of limitations is about to expire. Will they be able to serve me after the statute of limitations expires? Can they file an extension saying I am avoiding them? I also had someone tell me that they can publicly notify me via a local newspaper. How does that work?

I DID NOT have insurance at the time of the fire, I thought my condo covered insurance......found out that they only cover the outside of my condo.

If they filed the lawsuit on time, your successful evasion of their process server is not going to somehow make them miss that filing deadline. If you continue to dodge service they probably will be able to renew the summons or get an order for substituted service.
