My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: california
My question is, a saleswoman where i work pulled me out of my office to ask me about properly speaking to other employees this is only bcuz her niece works in the office. i told her it wasnt her place to tell the office mgr how to run the office. she continued to get in my face real close like nose to nose saying do intimidate you over n over . i walked away back to my office closed the door and she continued for over 5 min. other employees witnessed her doing this as well as customers. she wouldnt move out of my way to let me through so i moved her not pushed her to look for the store manager. she proceeded to yell smiling " did you just push me " and looked around. again she followed me into breakroom where the store manager was at and all he said was keep it down..it got louder and he didnt do anything but continue his conversation. I felt she was provoking a fight almost daring me to hit her. then i asked my mgr to speak to him in private and he wouldnt , there are also witnesses. After i explained how the Employee manual states to speak to him he then said close the door, within 2 minutes that lady walks in interrupts and said she wanted to file a report against me for pushing her, i explained if she was mad over her niece making mistakes and if it was that big of a deal she wouldnt have finished her shift, but she did. and is still working there like no problem. i am off a week for stress and im afraid to go back because i may not hold back again and loose my job. what can i do? and can i start a claim for disabillity? i have been with this company 11 years. i was advised to see a therapist by my doctor...............thank you .................
