Is there a minimum amount a homeowner must owe before a contractor can file an action to foreclose on a mechanic's lien in Georgia?

A lien itself doesn't allow foreclosure. You have to have a further judgment permitting it. In addition, you do know that the senior security (mortgages, taxes, earlier liens) have to get paid off first?
Usually the lien sits there to assure you get paid when the property is transfered.
Yes I know. I was asking if there was a minimum amount that had to be owed before filing an action to try and get a judgement.
I believe it is purely up to what you think is worth the effort to do.
