My question involves a power of attorney in the state of:My question involves a power of attorney in the state of: Connecticut
My father recently died.
He left no will or it was 'stolen'.(where o where?)
So my mother I assume inherits everything (everything under my fathers name AND hers)
My mother is almost 92 but in my opinion is still capable of existing with limited help.
I have a sister living in Nebraska who visited upon my fathers death.
She has taken over everything from all bank accounts to even driving my mother out of state and leaving her there.
She acts as if she has total and complete 'power of attorney'.
Is there any way to find out if she does ??
It has to be an awful crude system where people can get such anywhere and not even have to notify other descendants. All money and assets are gone QUICK and nobody knows what is going on.
