    Default Sued for HOA Dues

My question involves real estate located in the State of: MD
Am I responsible to pay attorney fees, interest, and other fees for a second HOA that I recently found out I had. I didn't find out until and attorney sent me a letter stating I owe all of these fees.

Thanks for your response. One more question....do I have any legal rights since I never received any prior notice before the attorney sent me something? My main HOA sent out a bill after my first year in my property but I never received anything from the 2nd one of even knew they existed.

I did learn by reading another thread that I should've done my homework especially since the property was a forcelosure...but i've never heard of 2 hoa's so it didn't dawn on me to research that.

I would check with the 2nd HOA to find out what address they had listed for you. Where I live most HOAs use the address listed at the property tax office as the mailing address unless notified by the owner of a different address.

I happen to live in a community with 2 HOAs: village and master; my condo also has 2: village and master.
