Can You Get an Expungment With Two Convictions

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Ohio.

In Dec 2009, I got "arrested" for shoplifting at WalMart and got charged not with theft but Persistent Disorderly Conduct in March of 2010. I did my community service, served my probation time, paid my fines and I'm done with that.

Well in April I got arrested for shoplifting again, and I got charged with theft of less than $500. I just got a fine, no probation but I did get 10 days suspended.

My question is: I got these 2 different charges in two different counties. Will I be able to get either one of them expunged? Or am I gonna have to have them on my record forever?

I hate to be the one to say this, but no, you will not be classified as a first time offender and will not be eligible for expungement. They will find out about the other charge, and deny the expungement.

Even if that was not the case, expungemnts are not guaranteed. You can be denied with only one conviction if the judge sees fit. The fact that you have two convictions for the same offense in about a year's time would not sway the court in your favor.
