My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of Florida. I was driving down a highway and came upon road construction. So I slowed down and came to a stop. The road was not marked properly and the result of it a vehicle slammed into the back end of my mini van.
I was hurt (driver) and my passenger. The gal that slammed into me paid $9,000 in the settlement. The passenger of my car got over $100,000. I kept telling my attorney that I should of gotten more. But he kept saying that because I did not have some type of a rider on my vehicle I could not get any more.
I thought it would be within my right to sue the construction company. But when I pushed it the attorney dropped me like a hot potatoe. Why?
