My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Georgia. My daughter and granddaughter live with me. When my daughter got pregnant she was in the 11th grade and the father graduated and went to college. They had a squabble as teenagers do and broke up. His mother started being the go between for him. Now it's two years later and she is still acting as his voice. When my daughter calls him for any matter she calls back. when its time for the baby to visit she is the one who picks her up and he stays at school. She has been trying to force me to meet her half way because she says its too far for her to drive to get the baby. it's 80 miles and they get the baby maybe once a month. I told my daughter she doesn't have to deal with his mother if she dpoesn't want to. To tell he she will only speak to him. He and my daughter have not spoken in over a year, he always allows his mother to run the show. Does she have to deal with her and he have no involvement?
