Default Cited for Speeding and Passing in a "No Passing Zone"

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Olympic National Park, WA

I was cited for "speeding 61 in a 35 zone" and "passing in no passing zone" last night after passing a car that had pulled out in front of me. I have a perfect driving record and would like to keep it that way so i thought i would go to court to see about having them deferred. Am i wasting my time attempting this in federal court? Or should i just pay the fines and be done with it?

    Thanks

A "deferral" is offered in WA State Courts. I don't believe that option exists in Federal Court.

Where am I going? And why am I in this handbasket?
