DOR Child Support Ordered but No Custody/Visitation Ordered

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Florida

I went to my local court house to file to pay child support to my ex. However, because she was on state assistance I was told to go through DOR child support enforcement. In Oct 2008 an order was issued for me to pay support HOWEVER, we were told they only do support they have nothing to do with custody or visitation. Thus at this point no one has custody or visitation.

I have my children roughly 10-14 days out of the month is this amount of days acceptable for :joint custody:? Is there a way to go to court for just strickly custody and visitation?

Yes, child support and custody/visitation are two separate entities. You can absolutely file for custody or visitation without having to address child support.

As it stands though, if you weren't/aren't married to Mom - she has custody.
