School Zone Speeding Ticket Where the School is 7/10ths of a Mile from the Sign

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Texas, Jacinto City. A H.I.S.D. School. had 2 passengers. school is .7 miles from the sign which is short. Want to know thw legal limits for heighth of sign distance of sign from any school and it was past 9 am when i recieved ticket and the ticket has May 2 when it was may 27th. and 6 people can not see any attempt at another number next to the 2. I took pictures of the sign and the time I arrived at sign. Officer wrote 8:40 on ticket and my friend got to the doctor well after 9 am and we were in the parking lot of his doctor. officer said I was doing 28 and she wrote 30 and there are no blinking lights on the signs. There are also no other signs except 100' from the school. (ANYWHERE). Should I fight this have not been able to find any law on School Zone signs and there regulations.
I appreciate any answers one may have.

What do you mean, ".7 miles from the sign"? You passed the sign and were pulled over .7 miles later?
