    Default Notice of Motion (Judgement)

    My question involves child support in the State of: Ca.
    I was checking my child support status on their self service web site and on there it said service date 7/26
    Notice of Motion(judgement) what does this mean does this mean he defaulted and that i will be getting child support soon??

    No, it means that a judgment was entered.

    It doesn't mean you're going to get any money any time soon. Please bear in mind you may never ever see actually one dime in child support. It's sad, but it's possible.

    I know. it is really sad... but he is working right now and doesn't seem that hes gonna take off anytime soon so im keeping my fingers crossed thanks for your help!

    You may want to contact the child support office on this one as the service of Notice of Motion could mean they have filed a motion for a court hearing as the NCP may have filed an answer to the original complaint.
