I thought you'd already spoken to an attorney earlier today who assured you that you could terminate Daddy's rights even though you had no basis for doing so?
Would the attorney explain this to you?

not over the phone, he was vauge but agreed that there was a good chance that i could terminate under grounds of abandonment. i want a detailed explainatiom of what that is exactaly i want to compile as much info as i can about all this so i can do my best to understand what i need to do and what i need to present to prove abandonment
Abandonment does not apply to your situation.
Go back to the other forums where an attorney EXPLAINED very clearly why it didn't apply.
I hope you didn't pay for the consult.

You can find discussion of the meaning of "abandoned" in Matter of Adoption of Doe, 543 So. 2d 741 (1989).
Are you pulling the term "extreme disinterest" out of a statute, or did you see it somewhere and think it must apply in every state? If the former, identify the Florida statute you're looking at.
