    Default Unmarried Head of Household

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Florida

I am being garnished and want to file as head of household exemption. I live with my girlfriend and her 2 teenage daughters. I am the only source of income in the home.
Can I claim a Head of Household exemption, and if so, what documents should I use to support the claim?

Per Florida Statutes, sec. 222.11, "'Head of family' includes any natural person who is providing more than one-half of the support for a child or other dependent". Will your tax returns back that up?

Unfortunately, they are not my kids. The IRS will not allow me to claim Head of Household filing status.
