My question involves child support in the State of: Texas


I am now 19 and live in Texas.

I have had recently found and started talking to my biological father.

He is saying he wants to be on the birth cert. and to change my last name to his.

He has 6 kids in all: 3 with one women, 1 with another, 1 with another, and me(which is another)

He has never helped out and was wondering can I go after him for all the years I went without due to him not being able to control his body?

Can your mom? Maybe, depending on whether or not she ever filed for child support.

Child support is never owed to the child.

As Neal indicated, if Mom had a court order for support she may still be able to enforce unpaid monies. If not, the person you need to be bugging about it is her - not your biological father.
