    Default Selling Alcohol to Minors

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Iowa

I got a ticket for selling alcohol to minors in a police sting at the restaurant that I work at. I have court this week and I was wondering if I can just ask for a deferred judgment? I'm not really sure how court works, but I am told that it is just everyone that has a simple misdemeanor against them and the cases are called. I am okay with pleading guilty and paying the fine, I just want to be able to get it off my record after a time. I don't have anything else on my record and I am 21.

I don't have an attorney so I just don't know how the process works, do I just stand up and ask for a deferred judgment?

    Any information would help..thanks!

You should consult a local criminal defense lawyer to find out if there is a chance of a deferral in your county given the facts of the charge and your age.
