    Default Cosigned for 401k

A Co-worker of my mom's asked her to 'sign' a paper for his daughter's 401k or whatever...now she's from a different country and doesn't speak english that well but she's worked at the same company as the said 'coworker' for a long time...now she's worried that he might use that signature for something else...she didnt full out anything besides signing her name...is there anything to worry about? i mean could he use the signature and fill out her personal info and take out a loan or whatever...he didn't go into any deep specifics with her...and is there a way to check if she's signed onto anything????

    Default Re: Cosigned for 401k

Why would somebody need a cosigner for a 401(k) plan, and what do you imagine that a 401(k) retirement plan has to do with student loans?

If she has a copy of whatever it is she signed, she can look at it to see what she signed. If not, she will have to ask the co-worker for a copy.
