My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: California
I am a Ventura County, California resident. I have run a foul of the trafffic/ criminal court with minor driving issues; driving on suspended license 3 or 4 times now, and other driving infractions in LA County, Ventura Cty and Kern Cty.
I have nearly $6,500.00 in traffic fines that are now locked into the collections process that block my ability to get a drivers license. I am a self employed nursery person ( I sell fruit trees and roses) and have to drive, so if I get pulled over it just adds another ticket to the mix and only compounds the problems.
The CA law seems to make it totally impossible for me to get license at this point since the law seems to allow for only the payment of full of fines to the collection agency prior to the DMV lifting the suspension on my license. Are there any remedies to this? Moving out of State? Bankruptcy? I am not going to give this corrupt State $6500.00 or more for tickets that were about 1/3 of that 18 to 12 to months ago.
