Default My children want to be with me

I have 2 children 13 & 15 who live with thier gradparents well there is a twist here. they are the paternal grandparents of my 13yr old son not of my 15yr old daughter but somehow these people got custody of both my children while I was sentenced to a halfway house for a 3yr sentence.I signed over guardianship to these (grandparents) for the time I was in this program,in turn when I completed this sentence both were to come home to me.while in the program my sons father filed a motion to take custody of our son&my daughter. Then his parents hired a lawer they said for me,so I could concentrate on my program and not worry about this legal matter and not have custody taken from me. I was very trusting of these two people so I listened and let them handle this legal issue. On the first hearing I could not make it I called "grandpa" explaining why he stated I did not have to be there that is why they had a lawyer for "me" To move on they were taking custody of my kids from myself and "daddy" their own son.Because I was not present at the first hearing I was now in default and nothing I said to this Judge in the day of the final decision mattered. These people knew what there were doing.I completed the Halfway house in 5months then non res in 10months I have been off paper for8months I see my kids 2 days a months when I raised my kids every day seen them every day now only 2 days There was some physical abuse on them at Grandma&Grandpas house I called the police, now with the decision of them and thier "dad" My children are now staying with him this is the same person they said was a bad parent (thier son) I was never asked anything. My children will do anything to come home to me! My daughter just turned 15 and wants to emancipate herself so she can come home (this is and always has been my best friend) My son is only 13 and not of legal age in colorado to emancipate himself. they want to run away but they know I will be arrested on kidnapping charges(these people will do that)90% of the time they are with me but school is starting and the time I get will again be limited. Thier dad is very abusive verbally to them and this is killing all three of us.I cant afford a lawyer or court costs, besides they wont listen to how all these people minipulated everyone especially me to gain custody of my babies.
Please someone is there anything we can do?We just want to be back together the three of us

This really isn't an emancipation issue.

    Your situation involves custody issues.

Maybe the site administrator, Aaron, will move your thread to the forum that would pertain to your issue.
