Radar Speeding Ticket in Downey, California; Trial Date Set

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: California

Hi there,
i received a speeding ticket a few months back and asked for online extension twice. Now i have gone to court and plead not guilty for trial date next month.

now i did get a radar speeding ticket but i do not have a copy of the ticket, how can i obtain that. I also was told i could contact the PD that issued the ticket for a log on the radar gun to make sure it was serviced. when i called i was told by a dept manager of records that i was not able to get that only the judge order this. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to beat this, i really do not want this ticket to be on my record since i have not had a ticket in over 5 years.

If anyone has any good ideas that may assist me in beating this ticket and if the Basic Law Speed pertains to this case can i use that in my defense or what other great ideas does anyone have out there. I thank you in advance for your responses!!!!

Check with the court about getting a copy of the ticket - it should be in the court file. You can expect to pay a copying fee.

Make sure you file a proper discovery demand. If the police department won't release information you want unless you have a subpoena, consider seeking a supboena.
