    Unhappy Does My Ex-Boyfriend Still Have to Pay Rent if He Moves Out

    My question involves a roommate in the State of: Louisiana

    My boyfriend and I signed a 6 month lease, which had both of our names on it, lasting from the beginning of June until the end of November. Since we have signed, he has broken up with me and is choosing to not live at the apartment, leaving me there by myself. He has mentioned not having to pay his half of the rent anymore, and I can not afford the entire rent on my own. Legally will he still have to pay his portion of the rent since his name is on the lease?

    Yep. If he does not, you'll need to pay the rent on your own and take him to small claims court to recover what he owes you.
