My question involves a condominium located in the State of: California
I live in a newly constructed condo that has been poorly built and our neighbors have been complaining for several months that they hear loud noises from our unit, especially from our kitchen. We had an HOA meeting and we agreed upon limiting our cooking hours, buying floor mats, and replacing our beds. Even after all this, our neighbors have called the police 5 times in the middle of the day, and the police came to find absolutely nothing wrong. This is at around 2-5pm. At this time we are cooking lunch, taking a nap, or watching tv with low volume. The HOA also recently sent us a letter threatening that they would fine us. The HOA does not make any attempts to find out what is going on and they continue to just threaten us with letters. We feel we are being discriminated and harassed over minimal daily activities, such as cooking lunch. I requested another HOA hearing. What should I say? And what should I do from now?
